Component 03 - 2025: <\/b>Organizational capacity training in tourism management for the public sector<\/b><\/h2>

This initiative focused on strengthening the institutional capacity of local and regional governments and public stakeholders within the project area, promoting the coordinated management of tourism as a driver of territorial development. Training was provided in public-private partnerships, monitoring and operation of tourism services, planning and development of tourism products, and technical assistance for the establishment of the Tarata destination management committee and the updating of the provincial tourism inventory. Furthermore, the Local Tourism Development Plan for the project area was developed in coordination with MINCETUR (Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism), along with the Tarata Tourist Circuit Management Plan, both key instruments for the sustainable planning of the destination.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

These interventions successfully consolidated an efficient organizational structure for tourism management, strengthening local governance and inter-institutional coordination. The results demonstrate a greater technical capacity within the public sector to lead tourism planning, management, and promotion processes, ensuring the sustainability of the Tarata \u2013 Inca Trail \u2013 Ticaco circuit as a competitive, well-organized destination that is consistent with the conservation of its cultural and natural heritage.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Human capacity training for private tourism service providers<\/strong><\/h3>

The second initiative focused on strengthening the skills of private tourism service providers through specialized workshops covering topics such as safety, formalization, innovation, and quality. These included training in [specific areas\/areas of focus]. <\/span>emergencies and natural disasters<\/b>, <\/span>citizen and health security<\/b>, <\/span>business management<\/b>, <\/span>Information and communication technologies (ICTs)<\/b>, <\/span>interpretive techniques<\/b>, <\/span>quality of tourist services<\/b>, and <\/span>business formalization<\/b>, in addition to technical assistance in <\/span>use of digital platforms<\/b>. These activities were complemented by <\/span>national and international internships<\/b>, such as those carried out in the Colca Valley and Lauca Park, which allowed for the exchange of experiences and successful models of tourism management.<\/span><\/p>

Through this training process, the professionalization of the private sector was strengthened, promoting innovation, quality visitor services, and the adoption of technological tools to improve competitiveness. The impact of this training is reflected in the strengthening of human capital, the consolidation of a sustainable tourism offering, and the creation of collaborative networks among the various stakeholders in the Tarata \u2013 Inca Trail \u2013 Ticaco tourist circuit.<\/span><\/p>

Training in intangible human capacity in tourism culture of the local population<\/strong><\/h3>

This action aimed to develop values, attitudes and knowledge in the local population oriented towards <\/span>tourism culture and appreciation of the territory<\/b>. Through workshops <\/span>tourism awareness<\/b>, <\/span>valuing natural and cultural heritage<\/b>, and <\/span>solid waste management<\/b>, The aim was to foster a harmonious coexistence between tourist activities and the local environment, promoting identity, pride and civic co-responsibility.<\/span><\/p>

The results of this initiative demonstrate a greater social acceptance of tourism as an engine for sustainable development. The residents of the districts of Tarata, Estique, Tarucachi, and Ticaco showed active participation in the training processes, incorporating good environmental and hospitality practices that strengthen the destination's image and contribute to more responsible, inclusive, and environmentally friendly tourism.<\/span><\/p>

Training in intangible human capacity in community-based rural tourism<\/strong><\/h3>

This plan focused on strengthening local capacities related to <\/span>community-based rural tourism<\/b>, through technical assistance in <\/span>landscape improvements<\/b> from Tarata, Tarucachi and Ticaco, as well as in the <\/span>Preparation of business plans for competitive funding<\/b> and the <\/span>improvement of local crafts<\/b>. It was also promoted <\/span>training in methods, channels and markets for artisanal marketing<\/b>, strengthening economic self-management and the development of sustainable ventures.<\/span><\/p>

This set of interventions contributed to diversifying the tourism offerings, improving the visual environment of the destinations, and highlighting artisanal traditions as expressions of cultural heritage. Furthermore, it promoted the integration of local communities into tourism, generating economic opportunities and strengthening a sense of belonging, equity, and sustainability in the rural development of the Tarata \u2013 Inca Trail \u2013 Ticaco circuit.<\/span><\/p>

Implementation of organizational capacity for the development and execution of a tourism promotion plan<\/strong><\/h3>

This action aimed to consolidate the tourist image of the destination through the <\/span>Implementation of the tourism promotion plan for the Tarata \u2013 Inca Trail \u2013 Ticaco circuit<\/b>, strengthening its position in national and international markets. This included participation in <\/span>tourism fairs<\/b>, the <\/span>development of promotional materials<\/b> (brochures, posters, image bank, institutional videos), and the development of strategies for <\/span>digital positioning<\/b>, including the <\/span>creation of an informative website<\/b> and social media management.<\/span><\/p>
