Among the peaceful landscapes of the district of <\/span>Ticaco<\/b>, rises majestically the <\/span>Church of St. Peter<\/b>, one of the most emblematic colonial temples in the Tacna highlands. Its construction, of carved stone and sober lines, reflects the religious and architectural legacy left by the first evangelizers in the Andean region.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>

A colonial legacy in the heights<\/b><\/h2>

The <\/span>Church of San Pedro de Ticaco<\/b> Dating from the 18th century, it was built during the colonial period by local communities under the guidance of the religious orders that evangelized the region. The structure consists of thick stone walls, a square-based bell tower, and a portal in the Andean Baroque style, characteristic of the churches of the high plateau.<\/span><\/p>
